A fotók ellenére szemmel láthatóan Momoa továbbra is remek formában van, a rajongók többsége pedig védelmébe vette kedvencét, a későbbiekben pedig maga a színész is azt nyilatkozta, hogy egyáltalán nem vette szívére a gúnyos véleményáradatot.

Momoa legújabban a Soill sportcipők reklámarcaként tűnt fel, a legfrissebb fotókon pedig jó látható, hogy a sztár néhány hét alatt újra a régi formába hozta magát, így azok, akik csakugyan azon aggódtak, hogy Momoa a továbbiakban valóban „aputesttel” lesz látható, megnyugodhatnak.

Az Aquaman és a Trónok harca sztárja pedig hamarosan az Apple TV legújabb produkciójában, a See című sorozatban lesz újra látható.
